MPS Biomarker Technical Support
to provide services to the members at Ft. Detrick, Maryland. This position is contingent upon contract award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply! The salary range ( or hiring range ) for this exempt position is established at
$69,000 - $75,000 . The above salary range represents the company’s good faith estimate of the possible compensation at the time of posting. We offer benefits including company holidays, paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, and a 401K with company match. This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn. Responsibilities: Perform lab work to fulfill experimental design for biomarker verification in collaboration with the project PI in BSL-2, BSL-3, and BSL-4 environments. Travel may be required to support the diagnostic mission. Work on microphysiological systems, next-generation sequencing, Nanostring panels, Luminex platforms, miRNA quantification, and other molecular diagnostics. Conduct experiments to detect etiologic agents in animal and clinical samples. Handle small animals with proper training. Assist PIs in preparing SOPs, technical reports, and manuscripts. Perform sample collection, concentration, and processing, including Nanotrap and DNA/mRNA purification from NHP and human matrices. Present protocols and data at weekly meetings. Manage reports, data, and SOPs, typically supporting 3-6 projects annually, and contribute to quarterly and annual reports. Maintain BPRP enrollment as per contract and regulations.
