Senior Accounting Analyst

Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with established financial controls and policies. Perform budget-to-actual financial analysis, investigate significant variances, and provide commentary. Prepare financial statements, special-purpose entity reports, and other presentations for board committees, executive management, and governmental agencies. Provide internal consulting and special reporting on an as-needed basis for accounting-related matters company-wide. Review contracts, leases, and other agreements for proper accounting treatment. Assist in determining the basis and allocation of distributable costs. Collaborate with individuals in other departments and demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills. Participate with analysts in developing new financial systems, including identifying requirements, functional design, testing, documentation, and training. What It Takes To Succeed
High degree of confidentiality. Ability to handle stress from cutoff and accounting period closings and deadlines. CPA or CIA is helpful. Experience
Our preference is for a Senior level. For a Level 3 (Senior), a minimum of five years of related experience is required. Education
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment. Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. Drug/Alcohol Policy Statement
