Overview

3–9 Month Contract: Benefits Analyst needed for Open Enrollment project. Location: Fully onsite – Houston, TX. Pay Rate: $32.00–$38.50 per hour (flexible based on experience). Start Date: ASAP. The role is part of a collaborative, employee-focused HR team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in retirement benefits, including 401(k) administration, compliance testing, and experience working with vendors or third-party administrators. You should be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrive in an environment where communication, teamwork, and mutual support are valued. Key Responsibilities

Serve as a primary contact for plan vendors, third-party administrators, and employee escalations. Coordinate data transfer for plan eligibility, enrollment, and billing. Support 401(k) and retirement plan administration, including rollovers, distributions, loans, and compliance testing. Analyze benefits data for accuracy, trends, and compliance with regulations. Support Open Enrollment planning, execution, and employee communications. Administer wellness, leave, and ancillary benefit programs. Process daily benefits transactions including enrollments, COBRA, terminations, and changes. Participate in audits, compliance filings (e.g., Form 5500), and reporting. Review and reconcile benefits invoices and process payments. Collaborate with HR, payroll, and accounting on cross-functional benefits issues. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field—or equivalent experience. 4+ years of benefits administration experience with a strong focus on retirement benefits. Solid understanding of ACA, ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, and DOL requirements. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel macros and pivot tables). Experience using HRIS systems and benefits databases. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

CEBS Certification. Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables). Additional Details

Schedule: Standard business hours, fully onsite. Must be flexible to occasionally work extended hours (e.g., until 5:30–6:00 p.m.). Travel: Up to 10%. Why You’ll Love This Team
