The Finance/Accounting team plays a critical role in supporting strategic decisions, ensuring compliance, and driving operational efficiency. We are looking for a Senior Accounting Specialist who thrives in a tech-enabled environment and is passionate about financial accuracy, automation, and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
Month-End Close:
Lead the monthly closing cycle including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to support decision-making and identify trends or anomalies.
Claims & Transactions:
Maintain and reconcile custom claim accounts, post ACH/wire deposits, and process inbound checks.
Reporting & Automation:
Contribute to reporting improvements and automation initiatives, including Power BI enhancements.
Compliance & Controls:
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
Cross-Functional Support:
Collaborate with internal teams to resolve escalated financial issues and support affiliate invoicing and payments.
Special Projects:
Participate in ad hoc projects to improve accounting processes and support strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required (in lieu of experience).
3+ years of experience in accounting.
Strong understanding of reconciliation processes and GAAP.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software and ERP systems preferred.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in a software or tech-enabled environment is a plus.
