Welcome Desk Attendant at The Salvation Army Adele and Robert Stern Red Shield Community Center Englewood. The Salvation Army is seeking a welcoming and compassionate individual to join our team as a Welcome Desk Attendant. Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $20.40/hr. Job Description

The Welcome Desk Attendant will be responsible for ensuring visitors have a positive experience at the Red Shield Community Center. This includes greeting visitors, answering phone calls, providing information and directions, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Essential duties and responsibilities include: Greeting visitors enthusiastically and providing excellent customer service Answering phone calls and responding to questions and concerns Maintaining a clean and safe environment, including public and restricted areas Ensuring guest safety and reporting any potentially unsafe conditions Maintaining awareness of all Red Shield center and programs to share information with guests and visitors Assisting and directing visitors to avoid crowded conditions and maximize service efficiently Reporting any suspicion of child abuse to the Corps Officer or Administration Staff Generating legible and accurate accident and incident reports as required Requirements

High school diploma or GED required 1 year of experience in customer service with administrative duties Experience with a computer-based work environment preferred, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook or Lotus Notes Competencies
