$25.00/hr - $35.00/hr Primary job responsibilities
Driving: Delivering building components (oversized) (wall panels + floor cassettes locally as assigned by the manager) Delivering loads of lumber and building materials regionally in Colorado Picking up Will Call orders when needed Assisting with the loading and unloading of finished panels, lumber, products, and other materials Adjusting travel routes to avoid traffic congestion or road construction Promptly informing the company of any tickets issued against the company vehicle during work hours Ensuring that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking to avoid towing Keeping the company vehicle clean and properly maintained by performing regular washing, cleaning and vehicle maintenance Providing accurate time records of the company vehicle’s coming and goings Reporting any accidents, injuries, and vehicle damage to management Conducting Pre and Post trip inspections Securing and strategizing load weight distribution Operate knuckle crane when needed Work with Kenworth semi with a 48’ attached flatbed trailer and a Dodge RAM with various gooseneck trailers Training: Remain up to date with relevant certifications, trainings, and courses for CDL A licensure, forklift training, rigging, signaling, etc. Logistics: Provide recommendations on efficient routing to Production Supervisor Provide timely feedback on delivery process to Production Supervisor Provide preventative maintenance recommendations for all company vehicles Conduct quality control review of finished goods prior to shipment leaving Simple Homes factory Requirements: Current Class A CDL required Experience with lumber and building materials Clean driving record and willingness to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations and a commitment to safety Ability to lift up to 70 lbs Willingness to work in various weather conditions and experience with winter mountain driving Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred Compliance notice: We use JJ Keller for safety compliance. Through them you will be required to complete an application and be subject to a background check, safety performance history check, pre-employment drug test, and MVR report prior to an offer of employment. Throughout your employment you will be expected to comply with requests to provide updated license information, medical certificate status, FMCSA Drug and Alcohol clearinghouse requests, annual driving record reviews and random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing.
