We are seeking a
Well Intervention Specialist
to join the Unconventional Resources Completion Engineering Division (URCED) under the Unconventional Resources Completion Operations Department (URCOD). Location: Saudi Arabia. Relocation is required. Aramco energizes the world economy. Plan well intervention activities and review/validate outcomes; provide solutions for wells with integrity issues with support of a well completion specialist. Perform routine well intervention, well diagnostics, and be proficient in downhole remediation practices; prepare field operational procedures. Model well and field completion performance and integrity using industry-recognized software; ensure regulatory compliance and maintain well barrier requirements during all interventions. Execute all types of intervention operations for unconventional wells: completion design, tubing movements, coiled tubing, wireline, slickline, hydraulic fracturing, flowback; issue detailed programs for each operation. Familiar with wellhead and downhole completion design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Provide solutions to enhance well intervention operations, cost efficiency, and safety. Conduct investigations and perform root cause analyses when issues occur. Lead special projects and studies (e.g., new technology trials) and participate in the company engineering standard reviews and development of young professionals. Attend site visits and critical operations as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized program. 10–15 years of experience in rigless well intervention operations, including design, planning, and execution of wireline, slickline, and coiled tubing in critical sour gas and preferably unconventional environments. Experience in unconventional resources or HPHT, tight gas and oil wells; strong understanding of well intervention and its impact on well completion. Extensive knowledge of industry regulations, safety practices, and standards related to surface and downhole equipment selection. Experience in optimizing surface well intervention operations using latest technologies and best practices. Experience in fishing operations using Slickline or Coiled Tubing. Working environment
