West Fire Systems, a division of Sciens Building Solutions, is seeking an
Associate Fire Alarm Inspection Technician
to provide inspection and maintenance capabilities. This position will work closely with our sales team, field project teams, and clients to ensure our customers' systems are inspected and maintained in a code-compliant manner. It is a key position for our growing team, requiring attention to detail and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in all aspects of executing projects.
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing system layouts and coordinating with systems and service departments for successful project execution.
Producing field surveys and daily project logs.
Inspecting and maintaining fire alarm systems.
Producing detailed inspection and deficiency reports in accordance with NFPA standards.
Delivering projects on schedule and within budget.
Logging and transmitting inspection reports via laptop.
Managing project and vehicle inventory.
Working under tight deadlines.
Providing support and guidance to other inspectors.
Managing project scheduling and progress efficiently, focusing on quality.
Resolving issues proficiently.
Exercising excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
Maintaining knowledge of fire industry standards and OSHA safety standards.
Preferred qualifications:
Up to two years of experience as an inspector technician in fire detection and protection.
Knowledge of fire alarm and suppression systems.
NICET Level II certification.
Proficiency in NFPA 72 code requirements.
Ability to interpret fire system design drawings.
