The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or a Certified Midwife (CM) for a 1.0 FTE, benefits-eligible, position with its University Nurse Midwives (UNM) faculty practice in Aurora, CO (on the Anschutz Medical Campus) to provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, wellness and gynecological care to a select population. This position is clinically based as a health care provider and includes an instructor level, non-tenure clinical practice track appointment within the College of Nursing. This full-time position will work night shifts 50% of the time. Faculty Practice Description
UNM works collaboratively within the OB/GYN department and offers families many services including individualized care, group prenatal care, childbirth education, lactation services, behavioral health services, and referrals to specialty care with the University of Colorado and UCHealth systems. UNM provides full-scope midwifery care to individuals at the Anschutz Medical Campus and inpatient care to STRIDE clinic patients. The nurse-midwife will be part of a midwifery service that consists of 19 midwives and has a long and successful history within the University of Colorado system. Supervision

Provide full scope care to the gynecologic, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient Provide care in the outpatient clinic, OBED, and intrapartum unit Utilize limited obstetric ultrasound skills in the outpatient and inpatient setting Attend monthly practice meetings and participate in a minimum of one-practice and/or College of Nursing committees Educate health care team students (APPs, medical students, residents) and actively participate in student evaluations Participate in practice development, promotion and community outreach Active participation in health plan contracts Remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current Performs other duties as assigned Work Location

Minimum Qualifications:
This is an open rank position with qualifications listed for Instructor, Senior Instructor, or Assistant Professor based on experience. Instructor Master's degree in midwifery from an accredited institution Current AMCB certification Current RN, APN and RxN licensures in good standing (Any State) or applicable certified midwife license Colorado licensure by date of hire (could be in progress during application) Senior Instructor Master's degree in midwifery from an accredited institution Current AMCB certification Current RN, APN and RxN licensure in good standing or applicable certified midwife license Demonstrated leadership in practice and collaboration with academic colleagues and students Assistant Professor Master's degree in midwifery; Doctoral degree in nursing, midwifery or related field Current AMCB certification Current RN, APN and RxN licensure in good standing or applicable certified midwife license Demonstrated leadership in practice and collaboration with academic colleagues and students Conditions of Employment: Obtain required certifications and licenses by date of hire (AMCB, Colorado license, DEA, NPI, Medicaid, CAQH, BLS/CPR) Participate in health plan contracts and stay credentialed Work in a clinical environment with exposure to hazards Ability to work extra shifts as needed Preferred Qualifications: Active DEA license Experience in high patient volume or high-acuity settings Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams Competencies: Independent judgment and clinical monitoring Interpersonal skills and teamwork Proficiency with electronic medical records Clinical teaching excellence and practice development Collaborative and advocacy abilities Contract and credentialing readiness How to Apply
