Old Colony YMCA
Join our enrichment team and take the opportunity to work with youth through a social emotional learning lens. We are hiring staff for a variety of days at various schools in Brockton.
Job Responsibilities:
Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled by the Director of Youth Development.
Lead enrichment activities for youth in one school each day, following the quality standards of the Old Colony Y and the weekly curriculum.
Collaborate with school staff to ensure activities incorporate social emotional learning and are delivered with a trauma-informed approach.
Set up and clean up after activities.
Ensure children are never left alone; always have a YMCA or BPS staff member present.
Maintain awareness of the number of youth in your group.
Identify and meet individual student needs, including accommodations and inclusion.
Maintain daily attendance records and adapt to changing school schedules.
Maintain positive interactions with staff, youth, and families throughout the program.
Address concerns or conflicts with the Director of Youth Development.
Maintain professional boundaries with youth.
Follow the enrichment schedule carefully, adhering to time frames, locations, and activity descriptions.
