Overview We are hiring multiple Sales Agronomists across various regions in South Dakota. Please specify your preferred location in your application. The Sales Agronomist (SA) acts as a local expert on Bayer Crop Science products, advising growers to ensure seasonal success. Your role involves building relationships, providing agronomic advice, and supporting business growth from planning to harvest.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive business plans with Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) for assigned regions, targeting high-growth growers.

Establish and nurture relationships with key growers by offering value-added agronomic support, including product advice and placement.

Lead demand generation initiatives and support team goals.

Provide agronomic advice on crop management, staying informed of current research.

Coordinate Bayer portfolio trials with growers.

Support seasonal activities like crop planning, scouting, and harvest monitoring.

Collaborate with team members to understand and influence growers' business objectives.

Address performance issues and key seasonal needs.

Recommend strategic improvements to leadership.

Engage with peers on programs and issues for alignment.

Monitor grower account activities and identify new opportunities.

Manage budgets and expenditures.

Travel approximately 60%, with significant face-to-face interaction.

Qualifications Required

Knowledge of Bayer products and initiatives.

Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making skills.

Digital fluency with industry tools.

Strong analytical, sales, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Ability to quickly build relationships and influence customers.

Effective task management and multitasking skills.

Networking and consultative sales expertise.

Ability to learn and apply agronomic knowledge.

Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for work.

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or related field.

At least 8 years of relevant experience in agriculture, sales, or marketing.

Experience working with sales teams and remotely.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $89,600 - $134,400, plus potential bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health care, retirement, PTO, and more. Compensation varies based on location, experience, and other factors.
