Our programs include degrees, certificates, and workplace certifications across 3 campuses, 3 centers, and off-site community locations. The College seeks adjunct faculty to teach day and evening classes in global diversity disciplines, including but not limited to Africana Studies, Global Studies, and Women and Gender Studies. Preferred candidates are enthusiastic, utilize best teaching practices, and are committed to student learning. Preference will be given to those with demonstrated excellence in teaching and the ability to teach across multiple diversity-related disciplines. Pay Level: $1,085 per credit hour. Campus Locations: Essex, Dundalk, Catonsville, & Owings Mills. Minimum Requirements
Master’s degree in International/Global Studies, Gender Studies, Africana Studies, Ethnic Studies, or a related field. Two years of teaching experience in global diversity or a related field. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Class Specific Essential Duties
Prepare and deliver course instruction, follow course outlines and policies, utilize the CCBC learning management system, grade and evaluate student work, provide timely feedback, keep accurate records, communicate with the discipline coordinator, attend training and professional development sessions. Mentor students and contribute to the social sciences program’s success. Support the community college philosophy and commitment to student success. Maintain currency in the field through professional development and scholarly activities. Perform related duties as required.
