The Culinary Assistant position is responsible for dining room and to-go meal service to residents.
Schedule
12 hours every two weeks
4:00pm-7:00pm Shift
Responsibilities
Serve meals and ensure the dining area is clean and inviting.
Follow meal serving schedule and procedures.
Offer resident meal choices and meet residents’ specific dietary needs.
Use proper safety and sanitation techniques.
Follow dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
Follow proper procedures for dining room set-up.
Follow proper workflow to stay on task.
Learn and become proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
Ensure all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
Promote and encourage positive resident relations and satisfaction.
Welcome residents and initiate conversation.
Accommodate resident requests such as food substitution, change in seating, etc.
Listen to any complaints and respond appropriately. Refer issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
Less than 1 year experience.
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma.
1 year experience.
