is located in historic St. Louis Park, Minnesota. Only 10 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, we are near public transportation and the crossroads of Highways 7 and 100. Our community offers 115 units of beautifully appointed Independent Living Apartments, innovative Assisted Living Apartments, state-of-the art Memory Care and Enhanced Care Suites (as well as an intergenerational day care). This
Culinary Assistant
position is responsible for dining room and to-go meal service to residents.
The schedule includes:
18 hours every two weeks; Part time
4:00pm-7:00pm Shift
Schedule includes every other weekend and holiday rotation
Responsibilities
Serves meals and ensures that the dining area is clean and inviting
Follows meal serving schedule and procedures
Offers resident meal choices and meets residents’ specific dietary needs
Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up
Follows proper workflow to stay on task
Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service
Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction
Welcomes residents and initiates conversation
Accommodates resident requests such as substitutions or seating changes
Listens to any complaints and responds appropriately; refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as appropriate
Required Qualifications
Less than 1 year experience
Preferred Qualifications
High School Diploma
1 year experience
