Job Description The Billing Supervisor is responsible for direct oversight of the billing team’s functions and responsibilities. The primary objective is to oversee billing processes, manage, train and mentor the billing representatives to ensure accurate and timely billing operations to maximize revenue and cash flow for the organization. Monitor, analyze and audit accounts and the billing team’s performance to ensure alignment with billing guidelines, practices, and payer requirements.
Responsibilities
Supervise the billing team, providing guidance and support to ensure accuracy and efficiency of billing processes.
Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory skills to motivate and inspire the team.
Review, analyze and audit billing data, adjustments, and reports to identify discrepancies and take corrective actions.
Collaborate with other departments, insurance companies and external vendors to align billing processes with business objectives and client satisfaction goals.
Monitor and audit client accounts to ensure billing records are up to date and reflect services provided.
Prepare and present regular reports to the Revenue Cycle Director on billing activities, financial performance, and opportunities for improvement.
Train and mentor billing specialists, providing ongoing support and professional development.
Communicate trends and procedural issues to the Revenue Cycle Director and propose action plans.
Assist as backup to Billing Analyst daily functions as needed.
Provide ongoing staff feedback to support employee development.
Follow AllHealth Network policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required within the scope of the position, experience, education, and ability of the employee.
Pay $68,500 - 73,000
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED
Full Revenue Cycle experience with a minimum of 3 years or related experience
Ability to demonstrate competency in all aspects of billing with prior audit and trainer experience
3 to 5 years of related experience, including computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Knowledge of SmartCare and claims clearinghouses or related Electronic Health Records
Effective communication and people skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects

Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Ability to exercise sound and independent judgment in a fast-paced environment
Interact with clinical staff and clients to ensure accuracy of client accounts
