Overview
Scheduling Coordinator I - FPA Access Center at Mount Sinai Health System. This role involves exemplifying patient experience and providing superior customer service when interacting with patients and visitors via telephone and other communication channels. The FPA Access Center is a centralized contact/call center for the Mount Sinai Health System, located on the West Side of Manhattan. Although we are an administrative office, the Access Center supports many of the various doctors’ offices in our health system. Responsibilities
Schedules patient FPA appointments and updates the practice management system. Collects patient demographics and insurance information and enters into the practice management system. Verifies patient insurance coverage prior to appointment and informs patient of any insurance referrals or authorizations needed. May schedule patient appointments for tests or consults. May initiate reminder calls for next day appointments. May act as liaison with Administrative Assistant staff to address patient concerns or other issues. Performs other related duties. Qualifications
High School diploma/GED 1 year secretarial/clerical experience preferably in a medical practice environment Employer Description

The salary range for the role is $17.2905 - $25.9354 hourly. Actual salaries depend on factors such as experience, education, and operational need. This range does not include bonuses/incentives or other forms of compensation or benefits.
