The Wealth Management Advisor (WMA) leads on investment planning and investment and insurance products on the Wealth Management Team. The WMA facilitates delivery of strategies and capabilities including portfolio management, trust administration, investment advisory and insurance. WMAs partner with the team to understand clients’ goals and objectives and construct goals-based investment portfolios. They advise clients using U.S. Bank's Asset Management Group (AMG) or U.S. Bancorp Investment's open architecture to deliver investment strategy, due diligence, and tailored investment management and insurance services based on a client’s situation. Responsibilities
Lead investment planning and provide investment and insurance products guidance Facilitate strategies and capabilities including portfolio management, trust administration, investment advisory and insurance Collaborate with the team to understand clients’ goals and construct goals-based investment portfolios Advise clients using AMG or open architecture to deliver market views, investment strategy, manager/fund research and portfolio construction Deliver tailored investment management and insurance services based on each client’s unique situation Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience Three to five years of experience in a financial sales position, preferably with the affluent client segment FINRA Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 license, and applicable state insurance license Preferred Skills/Experience
Strong knowledge of financial planning (goals-based planning, asset allocation, retirement planning, education funding) Knowledge of the securities industry, including U.S. Bancorp Investments, and investment and insurance products Experience with private banking products and services, including credit processes and policies Ability to present investment strategies effectively and maintain a holistic planning approach Strong relationship management, sales and new business development skills Analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication Proficiency with desktop planning tools and related software Benefits
