This role is part of the BEF Quality and Food Safety Excellence team. Reporting into the Sr QFSE Manager. This role is responsible for conducting full Food safety and quality system audits of BEF facilities, suppliers, and co manufacturers. This role will also provide support to develop technical solutions to assist manufacturing facilities in improving food safety and quality performance. The QFSE Audit Specialist will work remotely. Conduct full Food Safety audits on supplier and co-manufacturing facilities in a variety of food processing and related environments. Assess BEF internal manufacturing facilities, suppliers and co manufacturers for GFSI audit readiness, company quality standards or similar scope. Assess compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory guidelines associated with all manufacturing elements. Capture and report noted quality and food safety data within audit reports. Assist and advise Operations in providing viable corrective and preventative actions. Deliver training to associates regarding food safety and quality assurance procedures and principles. Identify risks and escalate non-compliances and ensure corrective and preventive actions are identified. Verify the timely completion of CAPA plans. Assist BEF internal plants in preparing for audits. Develop and improve the BEF audit criteria and expectations and performance standards. Qualifications

Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education, training, and/ or experience in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, Chemistry, or equivalent (biological sciences) required. PCQI or HACCP certification required. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing facility including production and quality, including 2 years auditing experience required. Must have a thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, Quality Management Systems, and Government/Local regulations. Experience in a broad range of food production operations to assess quality assurance risk. Knowledge of HACCP, food safety plans, cGMP, food quality system, sanitation, allergen control, and environmental monitoring. Working knowledge of quality auditing schemes such as SQF, BRC, AIB, ISO 22000, and other benchmarked schemes. Working knowledge of audit cloud-based data systems and software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The pay range for this position is $70,386 - $98,541 per year. Job Details
