We are the #1-selling refrigerated dinner sides, including mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. We also produce and distribute sausage, bacon, potato, and egg products, including liquid eggs. Our brands include Bob Evans, Simply Potatoes, Egg Beaters, and Owens Sausage. Based in Columbus, Ohio, Bob Evans Farms was acquired by Post Holdings in September 2017 and is part of the Refrigerated Retail division. Responsibilities
Position Overview:
This role is part of the BEF Quality and Food Safety Excellence team, reporting to the Sr QFSE Manager. The role involves conducting food safety and quality system audits of BEF facilities, suppliers, and co-manufacturers. It also supports developing technical solutions to improve food safety and quality performance. The QFSE Audit Specialist will work remotely. Accountabilities: Conduct food safety audits of supplier and co-manufacturing facilities. Assess internal manufacturing facilities for GFSI audit readiness and compliance with company standards. Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory guidelines. Report quality and food safety data in audit reports. Assist operations with corrective and preventative actions. Provide training on food safety and quality assurance procedures. Identify risks, escalate non-compliances, and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Verify timely completion of CAPA plans. Assist internal plants in preparing for audits. Develop and improve audit criteria, expectations, and standards. Qualifications
Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Food Science, Microbiology, Agriculture, Chemistry, or related field. PCQI or HACCP certification required. Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, including 2 years in auditing. Thorough understanding of GMP, QMS, and regulations. Experience in various food production operations and risk assessment. Knowledge of HACCP, food safety plans, sanitation, allergen control, and environmental monitoring. Familiarity with audit schemes like SQF, BRC, AIB, ISO 22000. Experience with audit data systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
