Senior Recreation Advisor at Adams and Associates, Inc. DVJCC is an education and training center located in Callicoon, NY. We serve 16-24 year old students and aim to facilitate successful training and employment placement through student-focused programs. This role supports a diverse recreation program aligned with the Job Corps center and schedules. Responsibilities

Responsible for the implementation of a diverse recreation program ensuring compliance with the recreational schedule. Oversees the daily supervision of the recreation department and uses proper judgment to resolve student and staff issues and concerns. Develops and implements a variety of programs to appeal to the student population and promote health and wellness. Posts weekly and monthly recreation schedules and coordinates activities with CPP and Social Development for evening programming. Coordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised; ensures staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements. Coordinates recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources; ensures safe practices and program compliance within safety guidelines. Documents student participation and accountability during recreation activities. Maintains inventory of equipment and materials; advises on purchases; performs repairs as needed. Maintains the appearance, condition and organization of recreation department facilities. Produces quality work in a thorough, timely, and accurate manner; maintains attendance and productivity standards. Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet goals and deadlines; applies job knowledge to required responsibilities and maintains required skills. Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by PRH. Provides high-quality supervision and management for the student population and fosters respectful behavior and accountability. Provides operational support for Center operations to ensure quality programs and services; pursues improvements to fulfill program objectives. Communicates clearly, both orally and in writing; contributes ideas to group efforts and provides timely information to DOL/Company as requested. Identifies problems, analyzes causes, evaluates solutions, and follows up to ensure corrective action. Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services for students. May provide transportation as required. Accepts direction from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager and may temporarily perform job responsibilities in other departments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates of Arts Degree or 1 year related experience working with youth preferred. Valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements; CDL preferred. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching; ability to lift 40 pounds and assess lift load as needed.
