Revenue Analyst, Bureau of Budget and Revenue The Division of Finance has central responsibility and authority for policy analysis, program development, performance tracking and improvement, financial management, resource maximization and technical assistance. Finance helps ensure that programs and administrative operations have the information, analysis, funding and technical capacity to deliver critical services effectively and meet DOHMH's objectives.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision, receives training and performs beginning level analysis in public health research cost.

Monitor the research operation costs of city, federal, state and private grant funded programs to ensure compliance and assist programs in more efficient/effective approaches to program administration.

Utilizes automated systems and tools to support public health research and analysis to ensure claims submitted to the Grantors are accurate and timely.

Maintain research cost records submitted by programs, writes reports and prepares and conducts presentation on grant research costs.

Reviews documents to ensure that necessary entries are made.

Research the programmatic implications of proposed policies, including identifying the impact to Personnel Services and Other Than Personnel Services budgets.

Plan and carries out activities to develop effective coordination between the public health research efforts of the agency and other research projects with intra-city agencies.

Collect and assemble data and prepare comprehensive reports to track revenue, expenditure, and operational activity by synthesizing multiple databases.

Verify accounting data for accuracy and completeness. Make recommendations to the program representatives for changes and corrections of errors.

Participate in the fiscal year end close activities including but not limited to provide estimate revenue accrual amount and supporting documentation, write-off, create and/or approve unbilled receivable (URE) in FMS, and other information/data as requested.
