$150,000–$180,000 base + 10% bonus potential Benefits:

A rapidly growing, multi-location retail brand is seeking a Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position will manage a small team and play a critical role in driving financial integrity, process improvements, and strategic insights as the company continues to scale. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in a retail or consumer products environment, with strong knowledge of NetSuite and GAAP compliance. This is a confidential replacement search for a high-visibility leadership role within the finance function. Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

– Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and produce accurate financial statements. Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and refine accounting policies and procedures to strengthen financial accuracy and transparency. Budgeting & Forecasting

– Lead the budgeting process and prepare financial forecasts. Partner with department heads to monitor performance and provide actionable financial insights. Perform variance analysis and communicate results to senior leadership. Accounting Operations

– Supervise day-to-day accounting operations including A/P, A/R, payroll, and general ledger. Manage financial systems and ensure data integrity across NetSuite and related tools. Support external audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts. Strategic Finance Support

– Provide financial analysis to support business decisions, new initiatives, and operational efficiencies. Assist in evaluating business opportunities and cost optimization strategies. Collaborate with the CFO and executive leadership on long-term financial planning. Team Leadership

– Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team to promote accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Foster a proactive, solutions-oriented finance culture aligned with company growth goals. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA strongly preferred). 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. Must have experience working in a retail, consumer products, or e-commerce environment. Hands-on proficiency with NetSuite (required). Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control frameworks. Strong analytical and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
