Systems Engineer Work Location: Onsite,
Belcamp, MD, Orlando, FL, Camden, AR, Fullerton, CA, Santa Clarita, CA, Rustburg, VA. Daily schedule:
40 hours per week, standard business hours Expected Pay Rate: Start: ASAP Notes: No C2C, must be US . Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled
Systems Engineer
to design, configure, and implement secure cloud and on-premises solutions that meet
CMMC control requirements . This role focuses on assessing IT environments, applying secure configurations, and supporting audit readiness through technical validation and documentation. Requirements Assess and remediate
cloud and on-premises IT environments
to align with
CMMC security controls
and
NIST SP 800-171
requirements. Design and implement
secure configurations
for networks, endpoints, servers, and applications. Develop and maintain
security policies and procedures
for access control, logging, monitoring, and incident response. Support
evidence gathering and technical validation
for internal and external audits. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure systems are compliant, hardened, and properly documented. Configure and manage
Azure security services , including WAF, Shield, Security Hub, Macie, GuardDuty, KMS, and Secrets Manager. Participate in
vulnerability management and remediation efforts
using tools such as
Nessus
or similar. Stay current with evolving
CMMC, DoD, and cybersecurity regulations
to ensure ongoing compliance. CISSP, CCSP, Azure Security, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus. Strong documentation and communication skills to support audit readiness and cross-team collaboration. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience
in system security, cloud architecture, and infrastructure engineering. Strong working knowledge of
Azure ,
GCP , and
on-premises environments . Knowledge of
Microsoft D365 Experience with
secure enclave design and implementation , particularly in
Microsoft GCC High
or similar environments. Familiarity with
CMMC ,
NIST SP 800-171 , and
DFARS
