Overview
SHR Talent is partnering with a regional CPA Firm based in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Gainesville, FL in its search for a detail-oriented Tax Processing Administrator. As the Tax Processing Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient preparation, organization, and processing of tax documents to support the firm’s accounting and tax professionals. The ideal candidate for the Tax Processing Administrator role will have strong administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions, the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and will maintain high level of accuracy in handling confidential client information.
Responsibilities
Process, organize, and manage incoming and outgoing tax documents, including returns, extensions, and e-filings
Monitor e-file transmissions and promptly resolve any rejections or errors
Maintain accurate records and filing systems in compliance with firm standards
Communicate with clients and team members regarding the status of tax documents and required information
Prepare, assemble, and deliver finalized tax returns and related correspondence
Ensure adherence to deadlines for federal, state, and local tax filings
Support Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and tax staff with administrative tasks as needed
Assist with scheduling, workflow tracking, and project management of tax processing functions
Qualifications
Associate degree in business, accounting, or related field, preferred
Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
Previous experience in an accounting firm or tax administration role, preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with tax software, a plus
