Overview
Boca restaurant in Novato is looking for a Chef de Cuisine. Salary is $75,000 a year plus bonus and Kaiser health insurance to start.
Responsibilities
Provide excellent cooking skills and ensure the proper execution of restaurant operations.
Organize and conduct meetings with the kitchen and service team.
Work with the kitchen team and control performance, product quality and production flow.
Maintain orders and organize inventory daily.
Ensure the kitchen is in compliance with health, safety and sanitation standards.
Train, supervise and evaluate staff.

Experience in Mexican cuisine preferable.

Ensure that food quality standards for taste, temperature, appearance, and presentation are met and that all recipes are strictly followed.
In charge of kitchen labor, food and controllable expense budgets.
Accountability, dependability and schedule flexibility.
Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in high-end kitchen management.
Food Handler's Card / ServSafe Certification.
Knowledge of local purveyors and farms is recommended.
Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
