WHLR is seeking to add an Account Receivable Specialist to our team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive, professional, and client‑oriented attitude about the company with coworkers, tenants, clients and the public whether contact is by email, telephone or in person.
SALARY RANGE: $45,000-$50,000. Responsibilities
Compile, process, and maintain accounts receivable records. Deposit tenant cash receipts (checks) the day of receipt or the following morning in the event receipts occur at end of day. Post tenant cash receipts (checks) and electronic rent payments on the day of receipt or the following morning in the event receipts occur at end of day. Review the accuracy of postings monthly when bank reconciliations are completed in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley’s standards. This will ensure accuracy of application of cash receipt to correct bank account. All cash receipts must be posted by the 1st, 6th ,11th, and last day of the month. All prepaid balances should be applied no later than the 16th of the month or the 10 th of a quarter‑end month. Notify Accounting of any resource restraints impacting the depositing and posting of tenant receipts. Work closely with Lease Administrators and Property Managers to work delinquent tenant accounts. Experience, Requirements and Core Competencies
Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Avid, and MRI or similar. Experience in a fast‑paced environment, preferably Real Estate. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work with little supervision and to seek help when needed. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment. Ability to multi‑task several projects across multiple properties. Detail‑oriented person with excellent analytical skills. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Associate's degree in accounting or related field required. 1 to 3 years of account receivables experience, preferably in commercial real estate or related industry.
