About the Role: Our client, a leading law firm, is seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level Tax Associate to join its M&A Tax team. This group is experiencing significant growth and plays a critical role in advising clients on the tax aspects of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and other complex transactions. This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated deals and collaborate with top-tier attorneys across corporate and tax practices. Key Responsibilities: Advise clients on federal income tax considerations in connection with mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and restructuring transactions. Draft and review transaction documents, including tax provisions, purchase agreements, and disclosure schedules. Conduct detailed technical tax research and provide guidance on structuring and planning opportunities. Collaborate closely with corporate attorneys and clients to ensure tax-efficient structuring of transactions. Support senior partners and mentor junior associates as needed. Qualifications: J.D. and admission to the bar in good standing. 3–5 years of tax experience, with a strong focus on M&A/transactional tax matters. Demonstrated technical expertise in structuring and planning for complex transactions. Strong research, drafting, and communication skills. Open to candidates from big four or law firms. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven analytical, research, and legal writing abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
