Job Description Senior Analyst – Corporate Accounting
Responsibilities
Prepare and post journal entries and monthly accruals related to core corporate accounting areas, including intercompany transactions, legal reserves, cash, restructuring, prepaids, and other general ledger adjustments.
Complete assigned account reconciliations using reconciliation tools (e.g., Blackline or equivalent), ensuring timely completion, proper documentation, and resolution of reconciling items.
Collaborate with outsourced accounting teams to review journal entries and reconciliations, maintaining high-quality standards and escalating any issues as necessary.
Perform variance analysis on profit & loss statements and balance sheets; contribute to periodic internal financial reporting.
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of monthly close checklists, process trackers, and recurring reporting deliverables.
Support internal and external audit activities by providing documentation, journal entry support, and participating in process walkthroughs.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as FP&A, Tax, and Treasury to validate data inputs and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of accounting processes, documentation standards, and month-end close efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or audit (public or corporate).
Experience in a public company environment or with a Big 4/public accounting firm is preferred.
Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX) is desirable.
Familiarity with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar) and reconciliation tools is preferred.
Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
