Our client, a respected company in the construction and design-build space, is seeking a hands-on Controller to manage day-to-day financial operations and support long-term strategic growth. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate, timely, and insightful financial data that informs key business decisions. Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and client billing Oversee payroll processing, including PTO, commissions, benefits, and reporting Prepare monthly financial reports, project-level reporting, and accrual-based statements Assist with tax compliance (sales/use tax, jurisdictional filings, etc.) Maintain banking and cash flow activities, including reconciliations and deposits Lead forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning Monitor insurance documentation and reporting (health, liability, subcontractor) Qualifications
Ideally 5–10 years of accounting experience 2+ years of experience in construction or related industry preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage both transactional work and higher-level financial strategy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in accounting software and Excel What You’ll Bring
