Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Collections Manager, perform accounting and billing functions for RiseBoro Community Partnership, a non-profit providing affordable housing across NYC.
Submit lease renewals to subsidy agencies and track approvals.
Coordinate with Leasing Manager and Code Compliance team on Section 8 lease renewals.
Handle rent increases for PBV Section 8 units and track approvals.
Mail bi-monthly Urgent Arrear Notices to residents.
Assist with security deposit reconciliations across properties.
Respond to utility inquiries from residents.
Help tenants register and troubleshoot Rent Café online payments.
Backup recording and banking of rent receipts and subsidies.
Analyze rental ledgers and maintain trackers.
Participate in departmental meetings as directed.
Adjust tenant ledgers with approval.
Update property management and accounting systems.
Create new tenancy profiles in Yardi and track move-outs.
Support management of commercial accounts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
Ability to work independently and in teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Yardi.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Customer service skills.
Problem-solving and time management.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Commitment to RiseBoro’s mission and supporting marginalized communities.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with 2+ years of experience, or
Associate’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or equivalent combination.
