4West (Pulmonary Intermediate) is a 20-bed unit providing specialized nursing care for adult patients with complications of chronic respiratory diseases such as cystic fibrosis, tracheotomy, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, and other lung-related conditions. Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse is a registered nurse responsible for delivering nursing care to patients across various age groups by utilizing the nursing process and standards. The nurse will use Nursing Practice Competencies for safe, patient- and family-centered care; Leadership Competencies to coordinate care and communicate effectively; Professional Development to grow professionally; and Practice Outcomes to evaluate care quality based on evidence, ULH standards, and safety goals. The Clinical Nurse demonstrates competency in caring for complex patients and collaborates with the Care Team to improve care quality. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
KY RN license required. Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Additional certifications like ACLS or PALS may be required based on clinical area. Minimum of an Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program. All new-hire RNs, whether new graduates or experienced, must start an approved BSN program within one year and complete it within three years of hire. Preferred Qualifications
