Our Actuarial department is a dynamic group of professionals focusing on pricing, reserving, and data analysis for all written lines of business. The actuarial team creates, maintains and updates pricing models for underwriters to utilize; creates reserving estimates for all lines of business and assists with financial- and claims-related items, helping the organization to succeed using our insurance expertise.
Role Description:
As an Actuarial Analyst III – Pricing, you’ll take on a critical role in supporting pricing analysis and regulatory filings for our direct Workers' Compensation products and additional lines of business. With minimal supervision, you'll collaborate with departments across the organization to respond to corporate initiatives, regulatory changes, and market trends. You will maintain and enhance actuarial pricing models, produce profitability and trend reports, and prepare documentation in line with actuarial standards and company policies. Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. Has passed at least two exams of the Casualty Actuarial Society 4 or more years of experience in commercial lines pricing at a U.S. insurance company or rating bureau Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other software Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Effective communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
Workers' Compensation pricing or rate filing experience Experience with SQL, VBA, Python, or R Willingness to pursue ongoing learning through formal/informal education or seminars Protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information and technology assets against unauthorized disclosure, destruction and/or alteration, in accordance with Safety National policies, standards, and procedures.
