JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Manager Supply Chain Finance will have responsibility for ensuring technical accuracy of the P&L and Balance Sheet as they relate to Cost Accounting. Partnering with Procurement, FP&A, Transportation, and Plant Controllers on the day to day, providing analysis and recommended actions supporting operational cost efficiency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage standard costs of raw materials and finished goods in accordance with corporate policies including both new and existing items Manage annual calculation of standard direct labor and overhead cost rates Perform standard to actual Labor and Overhead variance analysis Support Pricing Team by providing current costing analytics including Inbound freight Assist in quarterly customer pricing updates as needed Partner with R&D and Sales on costing of new product development Partner with Data Management on BOM setup and maintenance Create weekly Inventory Adjustment Walk to forecast Reconcile Monthly Inventory Assist in monthly Inventory Reserve calculation Partner with Inventory Control Manager on Inventory management KPI’s and process Serve as Finance partner in ensuring inventory SOP adherence Monitor Daily inventory adjustments across 4 manufacturing sites Analyze and identify root cause/corrective Action of weekly/monthly PPV variances Partner with Strategic Sourcing in forecasting and evaluating Purchase Price Variance Support calculations and accruals of pass-through material expenses Partner with VP Transportation on Budget, Forecast and actuals Collaborate with Site Controllers on analytics process and reporting of cost per pound metrics Assist in Budgeting, tracking, and managing Capex Project Expenses and Savings Construct Ad-Hoc costing analysis supporting Supply Chain and operations projects; both to estimate future costs and measure actuals Ad-Hoc requests Participate in calculation of M&A synergies POSITION GOALS: Assist in development of Corporate Standard Cost method and processes Participate in creation and deployment of cross-functional SOPs as they relate to Corporate cost structure Develop standardized weekly and monthly cost metric measurements unified across plant locations Perform other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field required Minimum of 7 years Cost Accounting experience SAP experience preferred Advanced understanding of costing methods, General Ledger associations and Income Statement impacts Food Industry experience, preferred Experience in Overhead Cost Absorption Allocation Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiating skills Strong analytical and quantitative ability Demonstrated solid working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel & Power Point Must be a hands-on person who is comfortable with lean, fast-paced working environments.
