Trade Operations Associate - Asset Management Firm
Our client, a global asset management firm, is seeking a Trade Operations Associate to join the New York team. The firm focuses on active, high conviction investing, identifying opportunities that are undervalued or offer strong upside relative to risk. Reporting to the VP of Investment Operations in NYC, this hybrid role requires four days on-site and one day remote. The interview process will include three rounds.
Job Function
Facilitate timely and accurate trade capture, affirmation, and settlement across multiple asset classes.
Collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and brokers to resolve trade discrepancies.
Reconcile daily cash and security positions and promptly address reconciliation breaks.
Ensure trades settle efficiently and remain compliant with market and regulatory standards.
Support the operational lifecycle of derivative products, including futures, FX forwards, options, and swaps.
Prepare and validate key reports such as NAV reconciliations, cash projections, and trade blotters.
Maintain high data integrity and deliver accurate, timely information to internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or related field required.
3-5 years of Trade Operations, Investment Operations, Middle Office or Trade Support required coming from a Hedge Fund, Investment Management firm.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and OMS/PMS Systems.
Base pay range $50.00/hr - $69.00/hr
