About the position : We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Bookkeeping Specialist to support the CFO/COO by managing the day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities on a part-time basis, approximately 10-15 hours per week. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our organization’s financial responsibilities.
Summary of Responsibilities
Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
Prepare and analyze financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Conduct account reconciliations for bank statements and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payment processing.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP standards.
Support budgeting processes through account analysis and forecasting.
Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits as needed.
Various tasks and projects as assigned by CFO/COO.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field (preferred)
5+ years of experience in Accounting; including AP, AR, expense, monthly reconciliations
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Proficient in Google, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks Desktop and Online
QuickBooks Desktop to Online conversion a plus.
