Position:

Direct the Fortune Concert Choir for scholars TK-12. Auditions only; gospel choir focused on performing at school and community events. Rehearsals weekly on Fridays from 4:15 PM to 5:45 PM. Responsibilities and Roles

Musical Leadership:

Conduct rehearsals, select repertoire, and teach vocal techniques. Performance Management:

Plan and coordinate performances with high-quality execution and presentation. Student Development:

Mentor individual singers on vocal technique and musicality. Program Administration:

Manage choir budget, schedules, and logistical needs; communicate with parents and school administration. Collaboration:

Work with other music teachers, fine arts staff, and school administration to integrate the choir into the school community. Recruitment and Retention:

Actively recruit and retain students in the choir program. Professional Development:

Participate in PD opportunities to stay current with best practices in choral music education. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strong musical knowledge:

Music theory, vocal techniques, and ensemble dynamics. Effective communication:

Clear instruction and constructive feedback. Organizational skills:

Manage rehearsals, performances, and administrative tasks. Leadership and motivational skills:

Inspire and guide students to reach their musical potential. Patience and understanding:

Work with students of varying ages and skill levels. Enthusiasm for music:

Passion for choral music and sharing it with students. Technology proficiency:

Use music software and other technology for instruction and administration. Experience / Background

Experience teaching Show Style Concert choir. Ability to lead a children's Gospel choir with movement. Able to accompany students on piano. Understanding of music theory, vocal arranging, choir conducting, and songwriting. Provide vocal instruction to students TK-12. Provide developmentally appropriate instruction in music and choral to TK-12 students; experience directing middle or high school choirs or vocal ensembles. Knowledge of vocal pedagogy, choral repertoire, and ensemble management. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students of diverse backgrounds. Proficiency in music technology and digital tools for instruction. Music appropriate to the developmental level; vocal and rhythm instruction for students TK-12. Other expectations: provide exposure to a variety of music genres; plan and coordinate student performances; ensure high-quality presentation and musical excellence; select developmentally appropriate, culturally relevant repertoire; foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative choir environment. $2,500 - $2,500 one-time $2,500.00

– Total stipend $1,250.00
