Overview
Store Manager in Training role at O'Reilly Auto Parts. Compensation range: $15.50 - $21.50 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include annual, quarterly performance, or premiums paid per hour in specific circumstances. Responsibilities
Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall store operations. Objective is to receive hands-on training preparing for a management position in another store or future location. Supervise the professional and retail operations of the store and team members involved. Work with district manager and store manager in recruiting, testing, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members. Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store managers’ meetings to all team members. Train new team members and conduct performance evaluations; recommend pay increases. Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating to ensure qualified selections. Support store manager and assistant management team to ensure safety compliance and training across areas. Make sales calls with or without the store manager; may be assigned weekly customer calls. Support store operations, maintenance of delivery fleet, and ensure the store/HUB is neat, clean, and organized; manage electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll; learn to use the electronic scheduling and timekeeping system and payroll entry functions. Learn to manage key components of gross profit; monitor returns for core and warranty abuse; review price matches and overrides for proper use; review KPI dashboard daily; discuss areas of opportunity with the store manager. Qualifications
Required: High School Diploma Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills Must complete Assistant Manager Certification, Sales Specialist Training, and Manager Development Program Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systems Preferred/Desirable
O’Reilly store and/or distribution center experience Completed O’Reilly management training program Advanced computer skills ASE Certification Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired) Benefits and Total Compensation
