Overview
Open recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill vacancies and hire substitutes. Substitutes work on an as-needed basis to fill in for absent employees. The eligibility list will be used to fill permanent vacancies which may occur during the life of the eligibility list.
Position Details Positions in this classification may be part-time or full-time (30-40 hours per week), 10 months per year, 196 days.
Filing Deadline Filing deadline: OPEN UNTIL FILLED. District Classified application and supplemental form must be submitted to the Personnel Commission Office.
Selection Procedure This is an OPEN recruitment to establish an eligibility list, fill vacancies and hire substitutes. The recruitment process will consist of a written examination and an oral technical interview. Testing may occur on a weekly basis. Qualified applicants will be notified by US mail or email.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent
One (1) year of experience working with children in an organized setting
One (1) year of experience providing related health care services
Possession of valid first aid qualification comparable to the Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate and valid CPR card or other valid procedure for resuscitation of an injured person within six (6) months of employment
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate is desirable
Responsibilities Under the general supervision of a certificated administrator and technical supervision of the District Nurse, perform medical treatments and procedures necessary in providing specialized physical health care services and instruction to pupils in an assigned special education program.
