We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in the AEC industry, and an interest in working in a dynamic global design environment with a diverse range of public assembly building types, including sports venues, convention centers, and transportation facilities. Responsibilities include: Design Conceptualization and Development: Support the creation and development of design concepts across various project types. Design Review and Critique: Collaborate with the team to review and provide feedback on early-phase design concepts, contributing to their refinement. Documentation and Technical Support: Assist in the production of design development documents, construction models, and detailed drawings. Research and Innovation: Conduct research and support development initiatives as required by the office to enhance project outcomes. Stakeholder Presentations: Prepare and assist in delivering design presentations to clients, communities, public agencies, and other relevant stakeholders. Requirements
The ideal candidate will have: Outstanding communication skills with a strong team-oriented mindset, fostering effective collaboration. Highly self-motivated, with the ability to excel in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Proven proficiency in creative and innovative design thinking, collaborative problem-solving, architectural production, spatial and environmental design, story development, and delivering exceptional design solutions. Preferred experience with rendering and 3D modeling software, such as 3DS Max, SketchUp, and Maxwell Render. Familiarity with Revit is highly advantageous. Exceptional sketching and freehand drawing skills, capable of producing quick and impactful sketches to effectively communicate and sell design concepts. Essential Qualifications
Professional Degree in Architecture (B. Arch or M. Arch) from an accredited program. 3+ years of professional architectural experience. Populous is an equal opportunity employer.
