Reporting to the department Manager, the Batching/Blending Technician handles ingredients, maintains filters, and prepares product for bottling by mixing ingredients according to Refresco quality procedures and SAP. Supplies the production line with the blended product in a timely manner and helps to attain maximum product recovery. Essential Job Functions
Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas. Responsible to adhere to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF). Will be trained and certified in the operations of all batching/blending equipment in his or her area of responsibility. Verify all ingredients against SAP, food safety, food quality, and inventory control parameters before conducting syrup batching. Follows instructions on batching/blending sheets, adds the proper ingredients, and records amounts accurately. Completes all required documentation for batching/blending operation and forwards to QA/Blending department for review. Maintains sanitation and cleaning of the area throughout the shift. Required Skills
Experience in a high-speed beverage production environment preferred. Formal training in areas such as SAP, HACCP, GMP, Hygiene etc. preferred. Able to routinely lift 50lbs. Effective communication skills both verbal and written (English). Solid comprehension of production schedules and laboratory testing. Education and Experience
High School Certification 1‑2 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Working Conditions
Weekday, weekend, afternoon, evening, overnight and holiday work may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed. Fast‑paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Requires hearing protection and temperature control. Physical Requirements
Stand or sit for extended periods. Lift 50 lbs. (minimum 5 lbs.) regularly. Walk, drive (forklift), climb stairs/ladders, and reach using hands. A Career with Refresco
