We are seeking a candidate with strong networking and customer-facing skills to support and enhance lab infrastructure. Responsibilities include collaborating with lab techs, researchers, and engineering staff to understand requirements, managing incidents and changes, and ensuring efficient network administration. Key duties involve configuring network devices, handling Active Directory accounts, troubleshooting firewall rules, implementing infrastructure changes, and maintaining security controls. The role also includes modernizing processes, maintaining server infrastructure, and managing data backups. Technical expertise in Cisco switches, PowerShell, SQL, SentinelOne, and various security and network management tools is essential. The ideal candidate should have experience with Windows Servers, network security, and cloud integrations, with flexibility for occasional after-hours and weekend work. Responsibilities

Business Interface

Create strong partnerships with lab techs, researchers, and engineering staff to understand their requirements and create solutions. Respond to break/fix and enhancement requests, working on-site and remotely. Plan, implement, and coordinate infrastructure changes, upgrades, and outages. Network Administration

Add network devices, computers, servers to the network and domain. Configure ports using SolarWinds and submit Port Opening Requests (PORs). Work with Network Security, Hosting & Platform Policy teams, and other IT services. Configure switches and routers, troubleshoot ACL and firewall rules. Procure networking equipment, automate and modernize processes, maintain inventory, and retire legacy hardware and OS. Facilitate integrations with L4 solutions and cloud environments. Manage account creation, password resets, Active Directory maintenance, folder access, and software installations. Update support documentation as needed. Security & Controls

Review controls annually (firewall, shared IDs, inactive IDs, SolarWinds access, ports). Operate with privileged IDs securely, tighten policies. Technology Stack

Cisco switches, Splunk Firewall Event Viewer, Algosec Firewall Analyzer, FireFlow, WinSCP, PowerShell, SQL, SentinelOne, legacy Windows OS. Active Directory

Maintain system accounts, create/delete accounts, manage security groups, seek access approvals. Desired Skills

Server maintenance, Windows Server 2003-2019+ experience. File server administration, domain administration, troubleshoot group policies. Data backup (Veeam), security patch management (Ivanti/SCCM), FTP servers, troubleshooting VMWare servers, antivirus management. Interview Process
