Odyssey Information Services
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise IT infrastructure. This role ensures stable connectivity, strong security, and reliable disaster recovery while providing Tier III support and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to strengthen the organization’s overall technology posture.
Key Responsibilities
Design, install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including servers, routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls
Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues across LAN/WAN environments
Ensure network security, access control, and compliance with cybersecurity standards
Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting
Support server management, virtualization (VMware), and Microsoft 365/Azure AD environments
Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures
Collaborate with the SOC team on cybersecurity initiatives
Provide Tier III support for escalated technical issues and lead IT‑related projects
Document network systems, policies, and procedures for training and continuity
Recommend improvements to enhance IT performance, efficiency, and security
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
Strong knowledge of networking principles, IT infrastructure, and troubleshooting
Proficiency with Microsoft Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and PowerShell
Experience with VMware, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Windows Server, and firewall technologies
Excellent communication skills for working with leadership and end users
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in network engineering/administration
Experience with VPNs, MFA, and cybersecurity tools
Familiarity with Fortinet Firewalls, Mimecast, LANSweeper, and Synology appliances
Experience with EMC SANs or similar storage solutions, plus Cisco, Dell, or Unifi switches
Knowledge of MS SQL (a plus)
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP (preferred)
Familiarity with CMMC and NIST security frameworks
