A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney specializing in Personal Injury to join their team in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution, ensuring justice and compensation for clients. This role involves collaboration with a team of skilled professionals in a dynamic legal environment.
Duties
Represent personal injury clients through all litigation phases. Manage personal injury case files from start to finish. Review incident summaries and assess for serious injury. Conduct monthly file reviews and assess case values. Draft and review legal documents including claims and motions. Meet all pre-litigation and litigation filing deadlines. Communicate with clients, witnesses, and insurance adjusters. Negotiate agreements and settlements on clients' behalf. Represent clients at hearings, trials, and mediations. Requirements
Minimum 5 years' experience in personal injury litigation. Experience in medical malpractice or wrongful death preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant legal software. Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment screening. Education
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school. Certifications
Membership in the State Bar Association and a valid state license to practice law. Skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Effective communication with clients and legal professionals. Organizational skills with attention to detail.
