A respected Maryland-based firm is seeking a Senior Family Law Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its Glen Burnie office. The ideal candidate will be a skilled litigator and empathetic advisor, passionate about helping clients navigate the challenges of divorce, custody disputes, and family transitions.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, adoption, and support issues.
Conduct depositions, mediations, and court appearances with confidence and professionalism.
Draft and file motions, pleadings, and legal briefs to support client positions.
Provide direct client counseling with empathy, clarity, and efficiency.
Work collaboratively with paralegals and legal staff to prepare cases and ensure timely filings.
Represent clients at trial, ensuring their best interests are effectively advocated.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in Maryland and in good standing.
5+ years of experience handling family law matters, including litigation.
Proven experience managing complex family cases independently.
Strong negotiation, research, and advocacy skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
