Oversee, monitor, and repair the operation of refrigeration, HVAC, electrical, emergency backup systems, hot water systems, pumps, valves, piping, and filters. Record readings and make adjustments to assure proper operation. Analyze operations of various systems, determine causes of problems, take corrective action, and perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment. Complete preventive task sheets, clean work areas, return tools to the workshop, and report shortages to the facility manager. Install and repair plumbing/piping/tubing; wire single and three-phase motors; run conduit; pull wiring to machinery and equipment; install and rebuild pumps, motors, air compressors, heat exchangers; replace bearings and seals; install and repair piping, valves, filters, and hot water systems; assist other mechanics with major repairs and maintenance. Maintain tools and order supplies as required; keep logs and document repairs; close work orders and track time in reports; communicate with the facility manager. Perform other engineering tasks typical of the Engineer role. Required Experience
A high school diploma or GED Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes 1+ years of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC experience Preferred Skills
2+ years of related trade schooling or college Experience with emergency backup systems (generators, UPS, etc.) Experience with CMMS systems Experience with basic hand tools Seniority level
