We are seeking a
Senior Cloud Data Engineer
with deep expertise in
AWS, SQL, and Python
to join our hospitality tech team. Youll be a key player in shaping and building
enterprise-grade data platforms , with a special focus on creating and managing
feature stores
to support our machine learning initiatives. This is a hands-on role for a candidate who is passionate about architecting scalable data solutions, driving innovation, and collaborating across teams in a dynamic cloud environment.
Responsibilities
Design and build
scalable data pipelines, data warehouses, and feature stores
to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning.
Implement
data migration, data delivery, and ML pipelines
in AWS.
Develop
secure, resilient, and high-performing data platforms
leveraging AWS services (S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, Redshift, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, EMR, Kinesis, Step Functions, IAM, and more).
Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and product teams to deliver
enterprise-level solutions
aligned with architectural standards.
Automate deployments and infrastructure using
CI/CD tools
(GitHub Actions, Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline, CloudFormation, Terraform).
Configure and monitor
cloud security, IAM roles, and policies ; ensure compliance with IT security requirements.
Troubleshoot and optimize ETL/SQL processes in
large-scale environments .
Build solutions for
feature engineering pipelines
with hands-on development in
SageMaker or Tecton .
Support
on-premises to AWS migrations
and hybrid cloud implementations.
Stay ahead of emerging technologies and bring new approaches to improve scalability, performance, and user experience.
Qualifications
Strong
SQL
(critical requirement).
Hands-on experience with
Python .
Deep expertise in AWS services:
S3, Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, Firehose, Athena, API Gateway, CloudFormation, EMR, Step Functions, VPC, IAM, Security Groups .
Experience with
Snowflake, Redshift, or similar data warehouse platforms .
Proven ability to design and implement
data lake/data warehouse architectures .
Experience building feature stores in AWS (SageMaker or Tecton).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases
(e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
Strong understanding of security, IAM roles, and policies in cloud environments.
ISC certification.
Experience with
modern ETL tools
(Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or Airflow).
Experience with
containerization and orchestration
(Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate).
Familiarity with large-scale streaming services (Kafka).
