Controller

to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP, manufacturing and percentage of completion. The

Controller

role is fully onsite. This is a client direct hire position.

Adhere to the organization's core values, policies, and procedures, including compliance with quality management system standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015), safety regulations, and internal work instructions.

Lead and oversee the Finance and Administrative department, ensuring effective coordination, supervision, and evaluation of all functions in line with company policies and applicable laws.

Manage team responsibilities including recruitment, training, performance appraisal, disciplinary actions, and employee relations to maintain a productive and compliant work environment.

Prepare and oversee financial reports that summarize and forecast business activities, including income, expenses, and earnings, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Analyze and interpret financial results, providing insights and guidance to senior management and department leaders; offer technical support as needed.

Supervise the maintenance of financial records such as general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue allocation, depreciation, cost tracking, payroll, inventory, vendor contracts, and insurance documentation.

Ensure accurate and timely processing of banking transactions, compliance activities, and related financial operations.

Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s financial reporting framework and general ledger structure.

Recommend and establish financial objectives and policies to support organizational goals.

Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of new financial management procedures, budgeting practices, and payroll systems to optimize departmental workflow.

Conduct and participate in cost analyses and pricing studies to support strategic decision-making.

Assist with internal and external audits by reviewing accounting and administrative controls.

Collaborate with executive leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives.

Provide supervision and training to team members, fostering their professional growth and maximizing their potential.

Ensure all accounting practices conform to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Stay informed on updates to financial regulations and legislation impacting the organization.

Undertake special assignments as requested by management.

Monitor and address departmental performance and the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Serve as backup support for accounting assistance functions.

Controller Qualifications Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master’s preferred.

6–10 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, general ledger, or manufacturing finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills & Abilities

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data and develop effective solutions.

Proficient in project management, including planning, coordinating, and delivering projects on time and within budget.

Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—with experience presenting to management and collaborating with diverse teams.

Demonstrated leadership and people management capabilities, including staff development, delegation, and conflict resolution.

Ability to adapt to change, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills to foster positive working relationships.

Sound judgment, initiative, and motivation to achieve goals and drive continuous improvement.

Knowledge of quality management principles and commitment to accuracy and thoroughness.

Proficient with accounting software, payroll systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and related business tools.

Understanding of business operations, cost management, and strategic thinking aligned with organizational goals.

Commitment to ethical behavior, diversity, and workplace safety.

Ability to interpret financial reports, regulatory documents, and technical instructions.

Competent in mathematics relevant to finance, including percentages, ratios, and data interpretation.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Occasionally exposed to production areas requiring personal protective equipment.

Moderate noise levels typical of manufacturing or office settings.

Ability to sit, stand, walk, and lift light materials as needed, following proper ergonomic practices.
