Job Description Reporting to the Drilling Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for assisting the drill operator for various activities across Exploration. You’ll work with the Drilling team to ensure safe and efficient drilling operations are accomplished. This role requires a rotating 10‑on 5‑off schedule.
Adhere to safety and environmental policies, procedures, and SOPs
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report defects
Assist drillers in setting up and operating exploration drilling equipment
Collect drill core samples and assist with mixing and pumping drilling additives
Perform basic equipment maintenance, including replacing parts and lubricating
Operate various vehicles and support equipment, including pickup trucks and forklifts
Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure safe and efficient operations
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge of basic mechanics and maintenance
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Driver license (Commercial Driver License preferred)
Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work safely independently or as a team
Physical capability to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds
Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts in an outdoor mine environment
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
