Role: Substation EIT/Designer Primary Responsibilities You will be part of a growing team working on diverse projects that challenge your engineering skills and support your career development. As a key team member, you will prepare engineering designs for substation projects, from simple device replacements to large greenfield sites. You will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in both Protection and Control and Physical aspects of high voltage substation design. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual eager to learn and take on new challenges. Under the guidance of Project Managers and Engineers, your responsibilities will include: Preparing engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and designs for electrical substations (Low, Medium, and High Voltage). Creating calculations, design sketches, and redline drawings. Collaborating with Designers and CADD Technicians to develop drawings aligned with national standards, safety codes, and project specifications. Developing design deliverables such as one-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, SCADA schemes, and physical layouts. Performing site visits during design, construction, and as-built phases. Preferred Qualifications EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months; candidates without EIT will be titled "Substation Designer" and are expected to obtain EIT for career progression. Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. Experience consulting or working for an electric utility. Knowledge of electrical design software such as SKM PowerTools, ETAP, or EasyPower. Local candidates are preferred. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering. A commitment to our employee-owned culture and inclusive environment.
