Overview

The Asset Protection Specialist role at The Home Depot focuses on preventing financial loss due to theft and fraud and supporting safety and environmental program compliance in assigned store(s). They use tools to minimize loss, identify incidents, review CCTV and exception reports, monitor store security, audit Electronic Article Surveillance, and drive a shrink-elimination culture in the store. They prepare accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries, preserve evidence, interact with law enforcement, and testify in criminal and civil court actions. The Asset Protection Specialist must report hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and perform duties in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, associates, vendors, customers, and the Company. They demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns, and stay focused on store objectives while supporting asset protection and operational responsibilities. Responsibilities

Experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or related fields preferred. Strong observation, report-writing, and communication skills. Ability to interact with law enforcement as needed. Physical ability to perform duties as required. Employment details
